under water
May. 12th, 2007 11:27 pmI tried really hard to relax today because I'm going to be super busy the rest of the week. For some reason it's hard to relax when you're just tired.
Some combination of stress and isolation seems to add up to fatigue. Go figure!
I bought a filing cabinet for $3 and tried to organize, but ran out of manila and hanging folders. Ironically, the organizing supplies will end up costing many times more than the cabinet.
Tomorrow is mother's day! I'm going bowling and will try not to hork up my arm like I did last week.
Tuesday is 24, on a different night because
Wednesday I'm going up to Bellingham to see Loreena McKennitt, yes that artist I'm far too young and male to like, at Mount Baker Theater.
Thursday I'm apparantly going to a Mariners game for the first time in probably a decade. It'll be the second time I've been to Safeco field and the first time for an actual game. The first visit was to see the Rolling Requiem event on 11 September 2002. This will be a very different event, I think.
Next Wednesday I'm going allllll the way up to Vancouver to see Bjork in Deer Lake Park! That'll make two concert trips up north in as many weeks! I think it'll be worth it but man, this better be worth it.
Also, I should mention for Deb that I finished NausicaƤ and it was fantastic, if super-preachy by the end. But hey, if environmentalist grandstanding bothers the potential reader, he should avoid Miyazaki anyway. There was a ton of great stuff about leadership and diplomacy and wars in there though, material typically omitted from his movies. It was great to see him address on such a grand scale the myriad ways people use their loyalty as a weapon.
