how deep is the ocean
Sep. 6th, 2001 09:00 pmI've always underrated the beach boys until now. I'd link up a song so you could listen but... can't find a good place to make it distributable. Sorry. I'm trying. I can give you the lyrics, though they're pointless without the heartbreaking harmonies.
I'm actually kind of respecting a mindless job, it frees my mind's energy to focus on other, more interesting things like, oh, women. 'Course, the paradoxical catch-22 (is that redundant?) is that because I'm working, I therefore have no spare time to act on my notions, whatever they may be. That's what happens when you work 7 days a week I suppose. I am making $60/day, 7 days/week until school starts though, which is sure nice for someone who hasn't earned a dime for 6 months previous.
Tomorrow my car's odometer will roll over to 250,000.0 miles. In honor of the event, I bought her new wheel covers to replace the 2 missing ones on the left side. She's feeling a lot better now that we replaced the catalytic converter and left front CV joint. Feels like useful transportation as opposed to a glorified scooter. Too bad I'll have to spend the money and get my own darn car around next summertime. At least now I can afford it (gulp), that is if my dangerous music-purchasing habit doesn't get away from me. Thanks for nothing, insound. You've only made it worse.
My Eagle Scout Court of Honor is Saturday, September 22nd 2001 at, oh, 2 or 3 in the afternoon. You're all invited, even those of you who can't make it. We bought the card stock today to invite everybody, now I've got to figure out how best to handle the planning. Email me (convert the words to their symbols, einstein) and let me know if you want a formal invitation or if just calling you is cool. :)
