that first week

I could hardly drive this week, I don't know if it was drowsiness or what. Nothing felt real. Oh, is that a truck? Coming close? Whoaaaa....
Dang, nearly rear-ended him. Won't do that again, nope nope.
I don't know if I'm just tired or what but I just can't seem to pull my brain from cryosleep or whatever has come over it. Very strange. Off to the ballet tonight, seeing ABT's "Giselle" on my sister's highly informed reccomendation.

As I am fond of pointing out, there are times in a man's life when all he can say is "damn."
Tonight was not one of those nights. There were times in the performance when I couldn't make a syllable if I tried. The level of intensity on display was simply beyond anything I've witnessed. A simply exceptional performance by an exceptional company.
Oh, and the story. You can read it, but it will never convey the power of the characters. I will say that at least once in the second act I had to wipe the tears from the inside of my opera glasses.
