Good evening, it's the 29th of June, 2002. This is as good as it gets.
Like Someone in Love
Last weekend was totally nuts. Around 3pm I went to drop off my sister in Northgate's worst traffic ever, and didn't come home till 4, when I was supposed to leave for Emil's lan party. So I loaded up the car and turned back into the traffic, and didn't get there till 5:30. I stayed there until oh, 3am. I intended to wake up at 8:30 and help an old friend out with her mission-trip-money-raising phone book deliveries. I missed my alarm (no idea how) and didn't show up until 9:30. Nobody was much happy about it, but I did show up as promised. Whether that was a wise decision or not is beyond me. The actual delivery was only supposed to take 3-4 hours. It took 10. We worked until I had to go directly to my sister's ballet recital (which, concindentally, said friend was attending as well). So by the end of that day (midnight) I was so tired I couldn't move. The next morning I got to wake up at 8:30 to sing at church. I did fine. Anyway, I thought that was all so crazy it deserved writing. I can't believe I did it all.

Last night Cliff came over to sign up for the Reunion Dance. GO CLIFF! He signed his sister up too. GO AUTUMN! Anyway, all the dawdlers need to send in their registrations on Monday. That means all of you.
Anyway, neither of us had much to do (I was off work early) so we played a lot of video games and made dinner. We got a hold of Graham and we all decided to rent a movie. Cliff and I found Vanilla Sky, which neither Graham nor I had seen. We proclaimed upon watching it that it was very good. Graham seemed more impressed with the soundtrack. But I admire the craft. It stuck with me, kept me wondering. My parents are watching it right now. They hate it. No surprise there. Probably too much sex for their tastes.

Lan party here last night. Not bad. I've had worse. Though there is a limit on how many Oreos any one man can consume in a 10 hour period. Future attendees should remember that. :) I'm a little afraid of the CS dominance, it's hard to fight. Josh and Ryan aren't helping. It's not their fault, of course - a favorite game is just that, and it'll pass - but it has a tendency to turn off people not interested in the game. I like having people at my parties. Casting a wider net in played games helps involve more people. I'm an easygoing guy, and would gladly attend a party in which the main game was Starcraft, which I'm terrible at. But I know not everyone's that laid back, and I want them to have fun too. Uptight bastards. :))

Good gahd. Lindsey's coming near the end of July. Yikes. I mean, COOL. Gotta go deal wit dat. I don't mind.
