trailer park king
Aug. 22nd, 2002 11:42 amHow unremarkable a day. Ok. I've been waking up early because I have to go back to work the day after we get back. That means I have an hour or more in the morning to do... pretty much nothing. So I've been watching movies. Finished fight club this morning and I'm thinkin that's not a morning movie. I'm only glad I saw it insofar as I don't have to tell people I haven't seen it. It was a mindfuck, I admit, but I'm not sure if it was a good one. Much respect for using the Pixies though... I was like "yeah! This calls for some horns! Maybe a lighter! WHERE IS MY MIND!!?" Ahem. I am SO lazy here it's almost unfunny. I think I should throw a lanparty when I get back just so I'll have something to do when I'm not working. Not as if I'll lack things to do at home, it's that I'll lack things I'll want to do. I'll have things to do, such as get rich and buy a car and sign up for school and all those hundreds of things having a life entails. Maybe I'll need another vacation.
We considered buying a car here because they looked cheaper, but it's hard enough to buy cars in Seattle on weekends, much less in Goshen, ID on weekdays. The cars aren't even that much cheaper but what's significant is that they're available. For instance, there were like 3 Legacys that looked good in the paper, unlike in Seattle where there would be 2 and they'd be gone in a matter of hours, and probably be automatics anyway. I just want a good car! I don't want to waste my time on that ridiculous endeavor but it's like some kind of test or something. "Navigate this field of lemons and smarmy salesmen and you will have the perfect car." Who made that necessary?
Congratulations
athelstan, now remember to a) be a person and b) play nice at my lan parties.
