it's time to make an entry
Mar. 22nd, 2003 07:11 pmby golly, school's out, the country's getting its war on, and I'm not writing this down? silly me.
To tell the truth, it being spring break, and I being a geek, it's been mostly me sitting downstairs hacking on the mountain of hardware that piled up over the quarter. I had 3 systems to rebuild (one physically) going into break. Two down, one to go. Things are going along pretty well, I had some unforseen consequences a couple times - one mysterious windows booting problem that I never figured out, and another silly mistake involving a router and a traffic shaper that wouldn't have been so bad except it involved moving a 21" monitor that weighs, like as much as I do. This place is still a tremendous mess, but I've got a week before SpringLAN and anything has to be "clean" anyway, and a week after that before the parents get home to clean up again.
Bought pants today. Conquered. My boxers are no longer visible even when I'm wearing jeans. A victory for modesty.
Job hunt basically stalled. Hard to rush when I've got so much stuff to do here, but the worry weighs heavily on me. Leads from school panned out badly, and I'm not looking forward to going back to WIS or something, so I hope it doesn't come to that.
Andy's lan party tomorrow after
Whitney's performance.
This interpol album could be album of the year if it didn't all sound essentially the same.
