"finals week" here at the house of J. One 4-page final, plus last homework due tuesday. It ain't much, really, but hey, gets me out of doin chores.

Incidentally it's been in the high 80s all week. Summer in seattle is like permanent vacation - we get so little sun that everyone gets outside the moment the weather turns nice. It's a totally different city at 80F than it is at 45F. Of course, once it gets over 85F our web feet start drying out and the whining starts. It's a vicious cycle.

You wish you had my school job. I got paid $20 to watch Ghost World on a big screen. Well, not literally. But practically.

Second Job Update: promising contact at an everett glass distributor. Sadly the contact time is in excess of 2 weeks. Am unsure how to proceed in the meantime. Would rather not take another job only to quit it for this one, which I probably would considering the time, location and nature of the work. It's almost ideal.

Plans for dismemberment: Graham, I need more info on my role in transporting you to the farewell (sniff) show. This is a mere 4 days away. Be advised.

Converting my website to php/mysql, slowly. Gonna be pretty nice, and even less work to update once it's in place. Gonna be a long road getting there though. Am hoping all this work wil help me get a job up in teh WWU, but of course that's a crap shoot. At the very least it's good experience in general.

Chris, (who is by cosmic coincidence or divine providence) my mom's coworker, moved into the third house down. Well, more accurately his family moved in and he came along, but it's still pretty cool. He just finished his Bachelor's in CS at UW Bothell. Basically he's me in 2 years. Nice to have a neighbor that's in my age range. Hopefully I can get him down here for LANs as well.

No, LAN parties are not all I think about.
