The last 2 days

Things I obtained:

• Single-subject notebook
• Overpriced mechanical pencil
• 1GB of DDR2 memory
• New vacuum cleaner
• 4GB iPod Mini
• New boss

Things I did:

• Went to class for the first time in months
• Remembered why I stopped
• Went shopping with a very happy girl
• Went to see poetry with a very sad girl
• Went to bed hungry
• Was awoken by vicious screaming and arguing next door
• Slept through the awkward sex noises which preceded said arguing
• Thanked God for giving us the gift of earplugs

Things I will do next:

• Prove to my new boss that I'm a cool kid that does good work
• Pray to God that Math 226 doesn't completely ruin my quarter like most math classes do
• Attempt to get enough sleep
• Attempt to justify staying awake in my easy-4 intro to java class
• Count the days till next summer

Dear University Residences Staff:

This morning I received a letter from Iain Davidson informing me that he has resigned his position effective Monday, September 26, 2005 for personal reasons. Iain mentioned his appreciation for the friendships developed over many years.

Iain has been with University Residences since 1991 when he started as a student employee. He was our first HITS Manager and the architect of our departmental networks.

I’m sure that you join me in wishing Iain the best as he leaves Western.
