housebound
Jun. 26th, 2008 08:07 pmWas stuck at home 3 days this week with a horrible crud. I'm hoping to be out of it tomorrow. Anyway I had better be, as I have a busy weekend and no time to be sick.
The bright side of being home sick is that it's like a tiny, horrible vacation, which is still technically better than going to work. Plus it's a lot easier to get well, because the kitchen and the vitamins are right there and you don't have to ever talk or even stand up if you don't want to. And yesterday, I definitely didn't want to.
Normally I hate being sick during the summer, but somehow I didn't mind this time. Enjoying the evening out on the deck was enough, there was no need to run to the beach and PARTY because it's SUNNY DAMMIT. I'm sick. That wouldn't help.
I wonder if that's what being old will be like. I kind of hope not, it wouldn't be as fun if I knew it wasn't going to be over in a few days.
Back when Napster was still the hotness, each MP3 was golden. I'm sure I'm not the only one who dreamed of a future when music could had quickly. It still feels embarrassingly nice to be able to just download music for free all day long. Seeqpod would have blown my highschool mind.
What made today's sickness more bearable was the ongoing series of Jeff Weiss' mixtapes, Summer Jamz '08, and the last few months of recent favorite FoundTrack tapes. Enjoy.\
I'm considering switching from eggs to fish. Thoughts?
