"whoa."

Dude. Spider-man. Hella.

When the fandom's biggest point of contention is organic web shooters - something that makes more sense anyway - and the box office likes it more than Harry "Money" Potter, you know we've got something special on our hands. This movie has earned every dollar it makes. For once, a movie in which I cannot really find anything to complain about. Really, nothing at all. Well there was the... nope. Whatever it was, it was all good.

PS Not only is Spider-man teh badass, he also happens to be the luckiest man alive.

PPS [livejournal.com profile] popstarkiller, I can't thank you enough for helping me get my glasses back. You're a lifesaver, man.

what, you can't complain about the 2 mushy scenes where they gaze into each others eyes and spill their guts on how they feel? C'mon now. WAY too many adjectives. Those parts made me gag on the sugary confection of their undying love. But other than that, I too agree.

Deb, these are comic book characters. They don't know any other way to talk. If you've read the comics you'd see that that's pretty much how it plays out. It feels awkward because you don't usually see it in movies (with good reason). Balance between truth to the comics and good moviemaking is key, and Raimi walked that line expertly.
