intjonathanSpent the day tearing my room desk from drawer. Words cannot imagine the sheer volume of dust that was present. My nose and eyes are still reeling from the onslaught of disgusting airborne dust dust dust. Eck. On the bright side, it "only" took 7 hours and now my room is empty and ready for the new carpet madness tomorrow. Then I'll measure everything and try to make my room even cooler - were such a thing possible - by fitting (every)things in their right places; that'll take most of the weekend.
Had (of all things ) a sleep over Tuesday night. Found there were some perks to being, like, old and stuff. For instance, my friend and I scored a very large, very new TV, his DVD player, his Dreamcast, My VCR, I rented some games, he just pulled his car up to the ladder and we were good to go. It was great, and something that we could only pull off now that we were old enough to do things like drive, but not so old that we don't do sleepovers anymore and can still eke all the fun out of playing Crazy Taxi for 3 hours straight while fueled by nothing but Mtn. Dew and salty cheetos. I'm tellin' ya, there's nothing better. I hope I never grow up completely.
Just got off the phone with my [shameless plug] wonderful friend from Montana (where they have one area code but lots of zip codes) whom I'm seeing at our church youth convention in a mere 5 weeks after nearly 2 years of separateness. This is extremely strange to me. 2 years is a long time and 5 weeks is not. Having an event that's been a "long time away" suddenly be "not a long time away" is really quite alarming. I'm sure I'll deal.. Has me somewhat worried about another wonderful friend from PA who needs to be at convention but hasn't even registered and doesn't know how she's getting there. That's troubling since most of us knew that in May. But I guess if she wants it that bad, she'll figure it out. I mean, there's not really much I can do to help her go besides pay her way, and heaven knows I can't afford that. To make it worse, she's at Creation Fest this week and therefore unreachable. *sigh* As I say, I'll deal.
Continued prayerage is requested for the job, I've not a ton of time to whip it this week so I need blessings on what endeavors I can manage.
Anyway, I'm waking up, so I need to take some calming herbalizers and go nighty-night.
