Well, my history paper got finished, one way or another. I have that waaay too familiar feeling, like having stepped out from under a falling boulder, that typically accompanies the completion of nasty homework assignments. I think I take that stuff way too seriously. When I'm on assignment, nothing goes right, nobody can please me, my days drag on with that boulder over me hanging by a thread. Then I step out, just in time to watch the boulder fall. Now what?

Often I'm so used to being under boulders that I try to find another one to stand under. So, I'm throwing a lan party for my birthday. Good thing, too, cause I might get bored or something. Or something.

Had to get a new battery in me K-Roll today, I guess 10 years was too many for the ol' delco. $57 later, at least it starts. And hey, I can use the defroster again! It's the little things....

In the "d'oh!" file today, it turns out I was in fact supposed to work, even though I seriously believed I didn't have to. My boss had the gall to call at 11:15, over 2 hours into my 3-hour shift, to say "why aren't you here?" It would be NICE if you would call at a REASONABLE time after you noticed I was late. Then maybe I could work, eh? Isn't that what you WANT? Yarrrr. No telling what weird misunderstanding passed that I truly thought I didn't have to work. The subconscious is a powerful thing, methinks.

In the tallies today, good things outweighed bad things by 9 lbs, 10oz.
My positive moods, however, are looking sickly and malnourished. I shall try having them placed in intensive care.

Oh! Hey! Who wants to come car-speaker shopping with me? I know dick about car stereos so someone that knows like 1% more than me would be very helpful, but what the heck, it'll be fun! It's all about spending the parent's benjamins, yo.

I tried that Ghost Recon game. It must be just like real war, 'cause I spent 20 minutes getting capped from who knows where and being lost off my ass. War is hell. Quake is a game. Which one would you rather play?

oh, site updated a little.
