foreign countries a mile away

I feel like I've been away someplace far away all weekend, which is only partly true. The Everett Inn is kind of a dump in daylight, but put 50 gamers in there and it starts to feel like geek paradise. It's nice that it's so close, too - makes the drive home short and safe... coming home from lans is practically drunk driving. Anyway the party was fantastic and I'm expecting great things from 200man lan in August.

Applied at lynnwood Costco today. Will try silverlake hopefully this week as well.

Work at EDCC is still pretty slow. I'm pretty OK with that. It's totally astonishing to me that I get paid $12/hr to hack on boxes and talk about the matrix with my boss.

My hair is shedding everywhere, it's really gross. *sigh* haircuts are no fun anymore cause I've no idea what to do with all this hair.

Tomorrow: reinstall XP cause windows update is b0rked. Something to do with having done 2 system restores and using last known good 5 times I imagine. If things go smooth enough I may put RH9 on here finally. I miss having linux around on my main machine.

next time i recommend running as fast as you can, for those songs can only haunt you all day. my personal calling that causes me to retreat from a record, er, cd store is when all electronica is grouped under techno.

"yes, four tet, well, if we have it, it'd be in techno. ouch, that hurt."

and then i'm no longer allowed.
