I just spent 4 hours navigating a linux newbie through getting 4chan.net rebuilt from a stock redhat install on his colocated server. Over AIM.

I'm not sure whether to chalk it up as

• valuable tech support experience
• geek culture generosity in action
• a horrible waste of a friday evening

Oh well, our TV is now gone (Brian took it back, yarr) and until I can convince Spike to move his into the living room (harder than it sounds), I guess I don't have a lot else to do besides homework.
