it wasn't quite the miracle we hoped for
Dec. 22nd, 2003 09:40 pmSo I got well enough to sing in the choir concert last night. That made me glad. Unfortunately I kind of blew out my voice and have croaked my way through today. Whatever, it's not like I have to be sociable. I'm still sleeping like 11 hours a day. It's nice.
Christmas is coming quickly. Funny how the day is like a black hole, sucking people's minds in for days before and after. Some wiring in our brains prevents any rigorous planning of activity between the 23rd and 27th. I think that's probably for the better in a way. Seems sensible to give the day its space.
Graham's computer is nearly done. I hope he uses it and likes it. In some ways it seems a shame to replace that power mac of his, but time marches on. If it makes his life easier in some way then I will have succeeded.
Tomorrow I hope to feel better.
Christmas eve I will wrap presents and sing again.
That's as far ahead as I think.
