intjonathanSo I basically threw my CS311 final this morning (figure ~60%), which put me in as bad a mood as I've been in all quarter. I'm not terribly worried about passing, but it remains frustrating to no end.
Out of a sense of rebellion, or maybe excessive stress, I decided to do the most frivolous, mindless thing I could think of: watch Wet Hot American Summer.
This turned out to be something of a mistake, as I experienced what can only be described as intellectual whiplash. My mind hurt with the inanity of the film before me as I went from brilliant to braindead in two scenes flat.
Either way, it was nice to get away from predicate logic and programming APIs for a couple hours, even if I didn't feel much better overall.
I found out at work this morning that Jeremy's little nap on the couch last night was actually the result of a long night of drinking. Apparantly over the course of the night (most of which he doesn't remember but was relayed to me by his friend) he consumed two large glasses of sour apple vodka - which doesn't sound like much, but it was apparantly enough to cause him to babble incoherently over the phone to a string of friends who hung up on him (including his fiance), vomit numerous times, and black out twice. Amazingly, he looked much better today so I guess he bounced right back. I almost felt sorry for him but it's his own damn fault.
Tomorrow morning is my last final, which I feel obligated to study for, but I got >80% on the midterm without even trying so it's pretty hard to care.
I wish I had less to do over break. I'm going to need a couple days to just stare at the wall or something.
