I guess I had forgotten how beautiful the world is when you're so far above it. One of the small benefits of an early morning flight is the spectacular sunrise you get. It's a view that usually only mountain climbers enjoy, unlocked in all its beauty for the rest of us. Seattle's weather comes into play as well - low clouds and dreary skies most of the time make a beautiful canvas for the colors of sunrise after you lift off.

I'm bloody hungry but I know they won't be feeding us much. All that security and they ignore the important things like food. Go figure.
