cloudburst
May. 27th, 2004 05:44 pmSpring rain is so much better than winter rain. In the winter, the rain is always only hours away or hours past. It never comes hard enough to make it an event, and never goes away long enough to miss. In the spring, rain is the exception to dry, warm days, and it always comes hard and blustery. It's rarely a cold rain, so if you get caught in it you don't get hypothermia.
Anyway I mention it because it's raining hard enough right now to turn the leak in the gutters outside into a waterfall, so it's kind of inescapable. And as nice as sun is, weather above 75F makes it about 78 or 80F in my bedroom, and sleeping near the ceiling in temperatures like that makes for very restless nights. Rain means I sleep better.
My Java teacher pushed the due date of our final project to June 13th - the Sunday after finals. I'm ambivalent about this, as I have Big Plans for that weekend and won't really be able to take advantage of the delay. Other things on my plate:
What a long month.

My Java teacher pushed the due date of our final project to June 13th - the Sunday after finals. I'm ambivalent about this, as I have Big Plans for that weekend and won't really be able to take advantage of the delay. Other things on my plate:
- 3 June - C++ graph colorability project due - group project, we just found out we have the wrong algorithm and kind of need to start over :(
- 4 June - Scheme program due, I haven't even started designing it yet and can't quite get my mind in gear to. Scheme is a very different language, enough so that enough weeks of Java have corrupted my thinking to ways incompatible with functional design.
- 4 June - My sister's graduation ceremony at 7pm. I'll pretty much be getting out of class and into my car. This means my Scheme program better be done before I go, cause I ain't gonna have time to tackle it afterwards.
- 8 June - CS341 final - doable
- 10 June - CS401 final - crappy, worth a lot
- 12 June - LAN at Andy Lonzo's place - hope I finish my java project before this, because it's going to be nuts.
- 13 June - Java project due
- 14 June - THANK GOD IT'S OVER PLEASE SUMMER COME SOON
What a long month.
