2-year lease on one quarter equity
May. 15th, 2001 10:46 pmI mention college planning only because I just got done with it. It's far more of a headache than it ever should be. If only I could get some straight answers...
Far more interesting is the "study group" that I have been working with for Math for the last, oh, 2 1/2 hours. It's just this guy I knew from VB and the hottest chick in my Calc class. But hey, who's complaining? It turned out really well, and math is much more tolerable when there's a waaay hot civic engineering major doing most of the work for you. I could handle a lot more of that.
In other good news I'm FINALLY done with the sitting of the house, and I'm off to my own bed 'soon as I'm done with this. Aaaaah... waaaaterbeeeed gooooood. Sadly there will be no sleeping in for me, only sleeping deep. Which is hardly a substitute, but it beats the heck out of nothing at all.
I guess it's sad when you pay no attention in Java class and instead read Sun's fantastic JavaDoc materials, and come out knowing way more than the people that wasted their attention on the teacher. Shouldn't it be the other way around? Shouldn't teachers add something to the text that mere words cannot? But no, apparently not this one. I mean, it's a programming language - aren't the classes supposed to make the books clearer, not the other way 'round? Strange.
I went to Nordstrom Rack after study group to see if the'd fixed my Docs that took in, like, a month ago. No, we can't find anything under your name, do you have the tiny piece of paper we gave you? No, of course I don't have the tiny piece of paper - it was a month ago! Where's my shoes??? They can't just take them from me!(?) I miss my docs. My feet miss my docs. Poor feet, calloused from those miserable sandals.
Passed my old poetry teacher last month
Still have her book
She, of course, asked if I'd written much
No, not since you burned me out on it but
Yes, I had considered it.
So here is the result of the consider
And please don't tell her
Let her think my better works were me
And make that 3.7 stick
God knows I earned it.
Jonathan.
PS Danielle, could you show up more often in those computer labs? 2 hours of straight coding makes Jonny a dull boy. Your erratic absentmindedness is a refreshing change from all this smartypants coding dullardity.
