My 1600+ finally works as such (the mobo wasn't posting at 133/133) and not a 1500+. Dammit I paid for 1.4 GHz, I want 1.4 not 1.3. Turned out to be a bad PC133 DIMM. Figures. I feel better about waiting for my case now that I know the parts I have are good though. Gonna be a NICE system.
Tried the 40.72 WHQL Detonators in my gaming install of Win2K. 3DMarked at 4800!! Horrid. Rev'd back to the 28.32 and saw 5880 again. Phew. Put 40.72s on Productivity install for the uber-bitchin NView extensions. Universal transparency, multiple desktops, etc etc. Good stuff. Thank god for seperate inline installs so I can get away with that kind of thing. I hope I don't have to do that on the new box though. It's weird, seems like I'm the only one in the world that get 1000-3DMark decreases with newer driver sets.
Trying zinf as Winamp replacement, due to Winamp3 sucking a lot. "My Music" thing = good. Lack of vis or good skins = bad. Free software = good, but of course free does not equal useful. And of course there's no winamp output compatibility, so I don't get Dee2.
Eyes are dry, time to watch TV or something.
