implications

Was just informed by my mother that a suspect has been charged in the deaths of Jason and Alina. Something like vehicular homicide or collision involving a death. What a strange and terrifying visit from the near past this is.

I'm somewhat surprised by the lack of immediate reaction I had. My mother was visibly relieved, while I kind of went "hm." It is momentous news, to be sure, but maybe I've been expecting it all along.

I hope that bastard rots in prison for the rest of his miserable life.
