I often forget that I can and should write in this thing. I've ignored it for the last few months, and it's been to my detriment to do so. Life is moving quickly, faster than I can write down.
Saw the new Batman again today, at a much more reasonable volume than last time. It was still good, for sure. Christian Bale should've renegotiated his contract, though - poor guy got acted right off the set by Katie Holmes' nipples in the closing scene. They should've been billed above him. I hear they're up for least-supported actress in a close two-way tie. They're so busy chewing the scenery that even the scriptwriters got distracted and forgot to write sensible dialogue.
It is a comic-book movie. Even Spider-man had a wet t-shirt contest.
And while director Christopher Nolan can't seem to film a fight from any further than 2 feet away, the sight of a dude in a bat costume whaling the tar out of someone is a little silly (cf. Adam West). It'll look more sensible - and less headache-inducing - on a small screen.
Also found myself a dining room table. Needs a leg glued back on, and a good cleaning, but hey, free table. I was lucky to get the thing home. Thanks, anonymous free stuff guy on High St. Still probably needing a couch though. Probably, as Kate doesn't know whether she's taking hers or not. Guess I'll have to wait till August for that one.
Frisbee didn't happen yesterday so I went running - with Cameron. Those of you who know him are probably wondering at this. Like, wouldn't he get bored. Yes, but he's used to it. Guy ran circles around me.
That's both a figure of speech and the gospel truth.
But hey, at least I'm not sitting on my ass. My knees and lungs are happy to let me know that this "running" is not their favorite activity, but I'm trying to convert them.
Free evening minutes are the only thing keeping me sane this month.
