we mourn its passing. Is it temporary or permanent? (though I'm not on it, I'm a direct beneficiary of the downloaded materials)

Well, it was temporary for a time, but now it's permanent. :( Another site is rumored to be rising in its place, but we shall see. Meanwhile, we've got nothing.
