72 hour party people
Jun. 11th, 2007 12:37 amI can't seem to stay home for more than 6 hours at a time on weekends lately. I'm not sure whether to count that as the blessing of a good network of fun-loving friends, or the curse of someone who seeks parties as a way to quell the panicked silence.
It's hard to know until things are quiet, and it seems they never are.

Date: 2007-06-11 04:16 pm (UTC)But we've been gardening too, tearing out blackberry bushes by their roots and looking like cutters in the aftermath (o my wrists). It's good busy-work that actually accomplishes stuff and means staying at home. Though I've had Em over to help a bit, and that was a good balance of easy work (pulling weeds) and chatster hangout time.
We have a patio now! and a table and chairs! It's odd, getting the patio furniture kind of prompted a 3-person "Hmm, we might want to actually clean this place up" whirlwind that resulted in two more garbage cans full of dead prickly plants and spit bugs.

Date: 2007-06-11 04:28 pm (UTC)I actually spent several hours on Sunday out in the yard, removing blackberry bushes (but not by the roots). I managed to escape unscathed, but I had the benefit of tools and many years of hacking the thorny bastards on my side.
You'll need that patio furniture for your housewarming party, along with many more rounds of cleaning - good luck!
