Oh yeah, we did stuff in Yosemite too, like take a lot of pictures of half dome and el capitan and the river and etc etc etc. I learned the basics of our old Minolta SLR which was way more fun than I thought. We were lost a LOT because the maps of this park are pathetic and the signage is nonexistent. We hiked to bridalveil falls which was more of a misting but pretty enough. Yosemite falls was dry and Vernal falls was pretty quiet too, sadly. We found the visitors center and Camp Curry, the big "camping" center and ate dinner. We found the river eventually and stuck our feet in to cool off mmm. Dark was approaching and we decided to check out the Awahnee, the Grand Wailea of Yosemite. Built in 1927 at a cost of $1.25 million, this 5-star hotel was designed to last "as long as Yosemite itself" and has such insane features as 4-foot wide beams in the ceiling and 6' x 15' fireplaces. Pretty cool. By the time we were done there it was dark and off we went back to the hotel, which was at least an hour out on pitch dark windy roads with no signs. My poor dad had to drive the whole time and probably exceeded his limits. But safely we arrived and lived to tell.

My sister's making Hershey brownies with Nestle quik to spite those bastards that don't give tours. I'm so full of spaghetti I can barely move, and mom stole the phone. Tomorrow is lots of Frisco and Friday is our first day of nothing since we left 5 days ago. I'm surprised at how busy this trip has turned out to be, but there's lots of days left, including 5 in Idaho Falls, which has even less to do than Lodi, were that even possible. I'm sure I'll fill the days easily enough. My dad's got lots of cell phone minutes left. :) I hear Seattle is nice this time of year.
