Since Graham sent people here anticipating further review of the Vancouver Radiohead concert, I feel all obligated to post something more sensical than my last entry. On the other hand, this page has nearly all the information that is relevant regarding the show. They forget a couple nice touches, such as:

Soon after we found parking (a 20-minute exercise with lousy maps) some guy in a tiny Civic careens into the lot blasting 'Kid A'. He continues while another car tries to outdo him and soon there is a mess of RH sludging up the otherwise quiet parking lot. Graham and I spin the Dismemberment Plan loud enough to drown it out. After all, we'd worked through Amnesiac and some OKC once already. No sense overdoing it.
Waiting in the grass for 2 hours wasn't that bad, the line-folk were nice and we got to scare Thom and the gang when they pulled up in that big green tour bus.
...(stand for 30 minutes)...
The DJ was actually pretty good, I didn't feel cheated at all. I'm down with any chance to spin some vinyl onstage .
The Beta Band was fantastic, as soon as the lead singer sat down at that drum kit the show took off into space and I nearly wet myself. But I held it for later.
I walked through 5 rows of packed people to get $4CDN hot dogs between sets. I crammed through 30 rows to come back.
"the national anthem" live has the world's nastiest bass sound.
"blah blah blah stage banter blah blah...."
"Thanks for the barricade Thom!!" (aka "head zone's for head-givers!")
during 'exit music' the sunset broke from behind the cloud cover, to much dramatic effect. Almost had me not missing the Gorge.
But then I realized that at the Gorge I would not have to extend my neck to 12 inches just to see Thom's spastic head. At Thunderbird, the ground slopes down from the stage, much to everyone's annoyance.
Hearing 10,000 people sing every word to 'Karma Police' is every bit the holy experience you'd expect it to be,
and now I feel like kids in the 60s did after seeing the Beatles: I've seen the best band in the world, at the top of their form. I'm the envy of millions. :)

And for those of you who can't get enough (Graham, get this or Brock'll kill you with it), they did in fact debut a new song (!!!) at the Gorge. Hear it, Rock!

He continues his search in between school, the family's new carpet enterprise, and other activites planned for this week. He's requesting that any tips, referrals or references be forwarded directly to him. You may find his contact information here.
