This was supposed to be interesting
Aug. 29th, 2002 10:26 pmSo yeah, work is work, and I am me, and that is that. It's been way too normal around here since we got back, by which of course I mean boring. It's been three weeks since I played any computer games, and while there exists withdrawl, it's mostly a case of "you know, that was fun and all but...." I don't really have a burning desire to fire up the Gaming OS and slay krug in Dungeon Seige or bust heads in CS. And it worries me a little bit because I know I'd better throw a lan party to close the summer and by the time that comes around I'll be so rusty that I'll get my ass handed me on a platter. And it's never good form for the host to lose. I might have to instate a "no kicking the host's ass" rule. And a "Ryan plays CS with his left hand while he's here" rule as well, 'cause we'll ALL get—in his words—pwned.
God thing(TM): So I need a car. I need to buy one THIS WEEKEND. Who calls us up but an old friend of the family, Vicki Artimovich, telling us that she's got a new corolla and doesn't need her 1992 with 52K miles on it. And she wants to sell it to me for $3000. And I'm going, you know I'd better buy this. It's too convenient for this not to be an answer to prayer. Even though I'd like to have at least some comfort/convenience features (the car lacks any)(in fact I think there's inconvinience/discomfort features) it stands to reason that the worst that could happen is if I don't like it I can sell it and turn a profit. We'll see what happens when I actually get the car in my grubby hands this weekend.
Other things this weekend: gotta get to the leebraree and return my very overdue CDs, get to value village for some work pants, and get to finishing the DVDs on tentative loan from Clifton and...
BUMBERSHOOT
sadly my
music_snobs post went over like $10 sno-cones in Antartica, so I guess nobody wants to got to Bumbershoot with me on Monday. :( I thought you were my friends!! WTF? I'm gonna get grumpy and whiny if I don't get somebody to go with me... who am I kidding you're not scared. Fine... I'll... make angry posts about you! Tell mean stories! Ask nicely!(?).
Um so, I thought this was funny. Read the reviews. If that's not enough funny, poor Mr. Hasselhoff has to endure being famous for his album's dangerously hilarious mock reviews.
Goodnight. I'm up way past my bedtime... it's not right to call a 7am wakeup "sleeping in".
