you get the general idea
May. 27th, 2003 09:16 pmDamn busy weekend.
Saturday: Was out, uh, somewhere in the morning (don't remember! scary) then went with Cliff S for yummy teriaki dinner and to the Ave for gifts of music for Bailey and Lethany. Nanoo's was playing painfully bad rap. I've never felt compelled to leave a store before due to awful music, but this came very close. I found like 3 CDs there though so it was worth it. Cellophane square had better music playing and a pretty decent selection too. Another 3 CDs and a total of >$60 later and I was done... kicked down to Mukilteo and found a very dark beach to walk.
Sunday: Church, then to the "mellowest party ever" at volunteer park with Ryan and Cliff (again). Pretty decent time, though I kept wondering where everybody was. Taboo is a hard game and Dirty Work is a funny movie.
Monday: 11am breakfast of sourdough pancakes at the Blosser's. Yummers. Back home to pick up dad and ship up to Snoqualmie Falls because the weather was nice and mom wanted to take a drive. IMHO it was something of a pointless exercise because a) it was supposed to be a family trip and Whitney, bogged down with homework as she was, didn't come along and b) there ain't much to do up there but drive up, say "wow, pretty" and drive back. Nonetheless, I suppose there are worse uses of my time. Called Ryan (again) to try and get going down to Lanwerx. I had hoped Cliff D would be up for it but I guess he'd been lanning all week and was spent. Ryan and I went anyway and there was much frenetic clicking and spilling of pixilated blood.
Which brings me to Tuesday: Wasted my morning because I thought it was Monday, then realized at 3:30 I had a week of homework due at noon. DAMMIT. Another week of 0s on my homework, fantastic. Came home mad as hell and not able to do anything about it. Drove up to silver lake after dinner to drop off a costco app, came home and mowed the lawn, and here I am.
This album brings back strong memories of last August. This is at times a mixed blessing.
