the hunger has kicked in
Nov. 22nd, 2001 12:35 pmspent LATE last night recording my friend's band one track at a time into Vegas. Drums, guit, bass. Got drums and one guit track and the bass in. 2 more guit tracks, a solo and vox remaining. Might go back Fri and work with them somemore. It was pretty sweet. They're entereting EMP's battle of garage bands. They need a 15-min minimum CD. They'll do fine if their bass player can learn all their software... Vegas is easy and Sound Forge is easier but they started with Cakewalk... there's a funny story in fact, they were using cakewalk and they had like everything overdubbed in one track, wack-ass flange effects on the drums, no sync, it was a total loss. Got some signals in Vegas and put some EQ, compression on the mix and it's suddenly 100x sweeter. I love power. :)
Spent like all morning playing Skies of Arcadia - an absolutely beautiful game in so many ways. My mommy rented it for me cause you know... I might get bored playing ONLY CS all weekendw which is what I'd do given the chance :)
Mad foodage around 3pm; time to watch some football
